if you were in the buyer's shoes and how would you have handled the situation ?

You got to admit...............those debris is the sump does look like something that is upsetting $:-\$

But if there was an issue it should be laid at the service agents door, TK did not service the bike, the agent did.

I read some of those posts on Cafe Husky a while ago and never really thought he was slagging the previous owner, but then I tend to scan for stuff that interests me rather than read everything verbatim.

Obviously any new owner is going to be alarmed to find that sort of thing on a lowish mileage bike - which should be taken into account when reading his posts IMO.

Perhaps it would have been better to sort it out direct between the two of you rather than posting this on a public forum?

And in any event it seemed that there was no serious damage done to the bike and it was reasonably easily rectified in the end so apart from the posts that annoyed you, there isnt that much harm done perhaps?

Its still a great bike though hey

, even survives all sorts of stuff floating around inside it, without too many issues!

(Going to check mine at the next service though

The issue i have with this whole things is --The bike was still under Warranty and having dealt with the importers a lot --they would have repaired it under warranty --end of problem --

They repaired Grunt's 450 that he bought from someone else with low hours on --for free---

Shit happens.

It seems , however, that the suggestion that TK knew about the issue is what upsetted him - understandably so if you know the man at all. I have never met an oke that frets so much over his bikes and take such good care of them. We meet regularly and never was there any talk of a problem - the bike preformed flawlessly whist under his ownership. When he decided to sell it he garaged it so as to ensure that it remained in pristine condition.

At the end of the day none of this really matters and I agree with the advice to move on and let it be, even if you still fuming.

The debris in the engine turned out to be the piston, con-rod and crankshaft.

I have taken note of every bit of advice that I have received and have come to the conclusion that I need to move on no matter the bitter taste that remains.

My intention was not to rally for support but rather to reach out and request advice on how to deal with a situation that I have never ever faced before as at the time I was enfuriated and enraged and did not know how to deal with it.

I still feel although my integrity was severly questioned ,it is still myne and intact and I will continue to strengthen it going forward.

Having read all of this, my conclusion is if the guy had an issue and could not contact you to at least give you first notice......fark him!
You sold the bike in good faith and with a clear concience.....fark him again.....
