Guys if you use the gps coordinates given , please don't forget to allocate a South and East indication . Google Earth ( and my gps for that matter ) defaults to the Northen Hemisphere . If not you'll have lovely trip indeed , but don't forget to take extra fuel for the trip to Egypt :P

OK guys,

The Gauteng inaugural get together is going to be on Sunday the 17th of April.

The venue is En-Gedi in the Magaliesberg  (GPS Co-Ords: -26 2' 2.80", +27 45' 25.05") - www.en-gedi.co.za.

We will meet there at about 10 AM. You can buy breaky there. I'm told it is very tasty.

After breakfast, Tammy and the guys from EWT will give us a presentation on for real Wild Dogs. She is going to bring some  Wild Dog soft toy puppies too. I'm gonna buy a few !!

We selected Magalies, because it is quite central and there are good riding roads around there, so end your ride there and/or continue it from there.

A big ask here guys. Lets get as many of us there as possible. All it's gonna cost you is breakfast (and the cost of a fluffly puppy if you gonna get one). Bring your friends and family too.

We need to know numbers, so please post if you're comming....

See you there !!!  :thumleft:

I'll be there too.  Guys link it to the calendar and all a thread in Planning a Ride section - so we can organise a few rides too.  Chat with DeepBass9 - for accommodation and local moral support ;D

Awesome to see some momentum around the real Wild Dogs again.  Can also chat with the okes here http://www.wilddog.za.net/forum/index.php?board=19.0 who have volunteered to be involve and help.  I'll bring some calendars which are left....

OK, Ok. We're not meeting in Egypt  :imaposer:

I just copied an pasted the co-ords from En Gedi's web site.

The converted GPS co-ords are S26 02.046, E27 45.416    (or S26 2' 2.80", E27 45' 25.05")

And for the none-GPS'd it's close to the intersection of the N14 and the Kromdraai Road (about 303m West of this intersection)

See ya'll there

My grubby halo, a vapour trail in the empty air
Across the clouds I see my shadow fly

kathu,

We need to set something up in the western Cape. I'm going to be in Swellendam from Good Friday to May 1, so I could bing my "knowledge" (ha ha) and meet all the western cape dogs?

Would this work for you guys? I could bring down a whole lot of soft toy pups and info etc etc. Please advise. I'd like this to take off in the Western Cape as well

Hi Tintin

Thanks, glad you have plans for WC as well!

Murphy's law, we are exploring the Garden route over the whole easter period, but i guess other WCWD might be keen?

Maybe the soft toys can be sold with the WD merch then that can go to the real WD fund ??
