BMW R1200GS Top Box
« on: April 13, 2011, 02:17:44 pm »
Is there anyone that can assist me...
Recently the BMW top box on my 1200GS has started vibrating/rattling. When I had a look at the box the other day it doesn't seem to fit as snug on the bracket anymore.
Is there some way of tightening it?

Cheers,
Alex

Get the "ENDURO" kit and bolt it down  :thumleft:
Pass this way once!

I had the same issue with mine. I put a cable tie around the latch to take up the slack. Works like a charm. The same principal could be applied around the bracket area at strategic points.

Aluminium or plastic?

For the plastic case, bolt it down.
For the aluminium case, a short strip of clear plastic hose slit lengthways and slipped over the pipe frame.
