I know that Brett could have gone from zero to Forum Hero in one simple post if all he did was reply to TK's post as soon as he saw it and said "Shit sorry dude, please bring the bikes around anytime to have them sorted out and send me your banking details and I will refund you, All I ask for is for you to give me another chance in the future to show that our service is top notch!"

Swallowing your pride and eating crow might be tough to do, but in business egos cause more shit than anything else.

Having to pander to one difficult customer would have netted you a lot more customers in the future.

But you chose to go the other way!

The money he took for services not delivered should rather be invested wisely... I've told a couple of non-dawgs about this already.. Word of mouth is a b*tch, but you don't tend to agree.. If your story is so legit, why didn't you reply to his email then - I'm sure TK would have included that in his post.. Instead you choose to threaten him only after you rediscovered Wilddogs site in your Favourites tab.. If you haven't seen by now, that most customers are difficult customers, you are obviously not all that involved in your own business! TK is not trying to destroy your livelyhood - You are doing a fantastic job yourself!!

For me, the sad part is, that chances are excellent that all this started due to a misunderstanding. If I look at the cost, R1110 less R240 for the battery / 2 = R435 per quad. We take the R60 for a spark plug from that, we are at R375 per quad. Roughly the cost of 1 hour's labour. I seriously doubt any biker will expect a complete and full service on a single cylinder machine (regardless of cc) for as little as R435.

Misunderstandings can usually be cleared up, with reasonable ease, by negotiation and communication.

Dont 100% agree

Jonway serviced my scooter for R350 all incl. This is for the service incl oil and spark plug. And they did a full inspect as they saw 4 things that needed replacing. And I have the replaced parts in a bag. Also I was aware of the 4 things but I completely forgot to ask them to replace it.

Agree, the pamphlet distributors at the Grayston offramp have a full service (including plugs, oil and air filters) for R645 for a 4 cylinder car. (I assume that the components are dubious quality Chinese ripoffs, much like some of the bikes at a certain Pretoria dealer).

I actually disagree. How long will it take to do an oil change and clean an air filter. Although in saying that I suppose one would need to include the oil cost in the invoice too. This is why it is critical to fill in a detailed job card as well as provide a detailed invoice.

To those gents who disagreed with me about the cost of a service. If it is that cheap to have a bike serviced, why are we always complaining about the costs?

Anyway, the actual cost of a service was not the issue I mentioned and as such, really is moot. Seems you guys are so angry with Brett that you would go at anyone, who in the smallest way, is perceived to say something that could be seen as not negative. Ah well ....

I agree, that should be parts of the service, but I also see that TK did clean the carb and said that the bikes were returned to him with the filter in the same state that they were when they were given to BA, if he was cleaning the carb (I asume for the performance problem) why did he not clean then?
