A real adv bike is made to go in the dirt, and be just as capable on tar..right?
For a bike to be competent offroad, it needs a view basic things, good suspension, 21/18 wheels, good torque etc.
My friend recently contacted me, he has a HD xr1200, with a few offroad bits fitted, and he reckons once he has worked on the suspension etc. that it will be able to kick any ADV bikes ass, the XR1200 comes from a flat track racer background, which means it has allot of torque aswell.
So this got me thinking, if you buy a XR1200, fit it with WP suspension, and relace the rims..you would end up with a amazing ADV bike, for less than a GSA?
