RANT ON.....

Doesnt matter if there is a 5 star hotel waiting for em at every town, they are doing and we are sitting!!!! :o

Furthermore, regardless of what people might say about the E + C, they at least have charaties that are going to benfit from thier travels, and I think that outweighs any comments being made.

If so many of us, who have so much to say about E+C, got off our backsides and raised money and awareness of charaties, this place would be that much better for all!

RANT OFF..........

Never had hero's in my life but they are without doubt the closest I get to having hero's. Met Charlie and Simon at the BMW stand at the Birmingham Motorshow and the one thing that struck me was how humble these blokes were. Got my pic up at work which is my reminder no matter how big the world is, I can take it on! Diss them as much as you like, they remain inspirational!

Ok guess who had lunch with the boys... Me,I still cant believe it....

Ewan was in Hermanus with Jim Foster(Camera) and Dai(Medic).... Awesome bike...
Saw the bike in the parking lot next to M&B and so pulled in to have a look... Went to grab a coffee and as I walk into shop there is the crowd... Great guys!

Apparently Claudio went down after Charlie did an emergency stop at an impromptu Road works stop... Charlie skidded sideways before coming to a halt while Claudio grabbed handful of front ,washed out, went down at 40'ish and cracked a casing so all oil went out in less than 10km. He was unhurt due to good gear!

As for Ewan, very friendly but was pretty preoccupied due to his Dad being with him... Just shook hands ,congratulated him on the Trans-Cont and said Hi like we were old friends... This has got to be the best days of my life! Ewan went off to look at curios and I had lunch with the crew... great times with more than a few stories about the boys!! ;)

Dai the Medic took my number and is phoning me later with details about the ride into Cape town tomorrow! Will post as I am told!

My cell got a couple pics but cant seem to sync to Pc..Will keep trying, fingers crossed. Typical that I did not have my camera with me,hey! >:D >:D

Well thats about all, just stoked that I met them!

Cheers Bryan
I still have all the Yamaha's,My blood is still Blue, promise!

Paramed - Bliksem...

02/02/12 - RIP Glen - the Arrow of Elliot and the little man with the big heart that truly was larger than life.

You have touched us and left us better for having known you - even if it was only briefly.

For grabbing the moment and living the day It's been way too early that you were taken away

I WAS THERE !!! No , I was NOT invited, but just went F*** them, it's my country too - met the guys at Cape Agulhas on Saturday - it was
great. They are very nice guys, but a special mention is worthy - Charley Boorman is a MOER of a nice guy. I summed him up as really genuine and on the ride from Agulhas to Caledon (they were riding in front) Charley actually fell back and then worked his way forward again riding with each guy for a short while, at least making eye-contact and acknowledging that you are there.

I already posted a picture, but here it is again.

They are down to earth, and they like riding their bikes. Good enough for me!!!
