No vehicle license renewal! WTF?

after 7 years of receiving the notice for vehicle license renewal for my car in the post - nothing, nada... vehicle license expired end of March. now same is happening to my bike - vehicle license expired today, no notice of renewal...! wtf is going on? incompetence from licensing dept?

i went to the okes who do licensing etc. in Menlyn - basically told me i must register my vehicle AGAIN - i.e. fill in all related forms, send in proof of residence etc!!  WTF!?  :dousing:

anyone experience something similar?
