I have just come from a nice trip, with selected friends.
There were a few things that scratched a little though.
I thought of starting a list of things that spoils things a little on each
trip, so that we can point this out ananomously and that ignorant
offenders can maybe catch some hints.

1. People that are always in a rush to get to the end point.

I hope you are not referring to me  ;D

People need to go with the flow, no use worrying when you see you are not going to be there before dark, deal with it  :thumleft:

I think the thing that 'irritated' me the most was waking up in the middle of the night and then having to listen to the noises around the room  :peepwall: And even that was no big deal  :thumleft:

I don't think I have been one a ride that some-one hasn't done something that could rub me the wrong way. I find that towards the end of the day when everyone is getting tired things get even worse. Tempers are short and little things make people more agitated.

I have lead many a group and the most important thing we should remember on a ride where things isn't always the way you would like it to be is the way you react to the people doing it.

Your reaction could make the outing unpleasant to all. Best to just talk to the individual alone or even better to do it after the ride is done.  :thumleft:

Seems like the common denominator with most irritations is just other people.

I like riding alone, but camping together. How difficult should that be?  ???

P.S. - people that don't know how to/have the required tools to fix their own damn punctures get on my tits.

Inevitably the cause of my irritation, unfortunately, is more often than not the "people factor"

People wanting to impose their will or quirks
People becoming irritating
People complaining
People that is so fixated on the schedule that they forsake the fun factor
People who can not leave their business at home and who is constantly on the phone
People behaving like idiots or hooligans

Perhaps the constant here is me, so to be safe I now just do short trips or solo rides. :ricky:

having different idea of time....when you leave at 7am, it means exactly that....fueltank full, bags packed, breakfasted, chain lubed and bike warmed up....visor cleaned... :mwink:
this only applies first thing in the morning.....

I do not find it amusing when people are late for a trip and also do not like it when a group splits up into 2 groups for unknown reasons

i hate feeling as if the person riding with me would want to be riding faster or somewhere else.... which has happened before.... i then feel pressured and lose the fun aspect... then i would rather just ride on my own....
