Well now...compared to the 950 ADV...

The SE is tall (I don't mind that. My 300 is taller)
The SE is very uncomfortable - my ass was reamed after 50 kms
The SE's Safari tank makes standing in the correct postion almost impossible
The SE's aftermarket windscreen rattled and wobbled like jelly, and caught me right up the nostrils
The SE's reaction to wind buffeting was disturbing
The SE's pipes burnt my leg
The SE can't go anywhere my ADV can't.

I was going to try and buy an SE. Not anymore.

That does not make it a kark bike......just kark for you...

IMO there is no better hard core big bore DS bike...
