So my girlfriends brother bought a bmw 1100cc superbike ±7000km on clock (not sure what model exactly) for 55k from a guy up here in pretoria. He drives up from Pinetown, picks up the bike (trailer), got back home and took it to the closest bmw dealer for a proper service.
He gets a call from bmw and they say the only bmw parts on the bike are the 2 badges. And they recommend that he does not ride the bike as he might kill himself.(Welded parts etc.)
So then he phones the seller and tells him the story, seller"O yes I know", buyer"but I asked you about all those things, so I am bringing the bike back to you to get my money back" seller"Sorry mate I have already spent it, good luck getting it out of me"....
He's going through the lawyer steps now but I doubt he will see the 55k again.
