Anybody had any problems with them braking? The in and out, one white and one red.

Did you break yours?

Quite few guys on AdvRider did as well, its quite easy to break one if you forget to disconnect the hoses when removing the tank apparently.

A guy in the states will insert machined brass fittings into the fuel pump housing for you if you send him the unit.  Quite pricey though I would imagine once you factor courier fees in the equation.

You can also buy the actual plastic fitting from somewhere overseas, remember reading about it, on either AdvRider or Cafe Husky.

I've seen a thread where some guys replaces his with pneumatic quick connectors; it was either Cafe Husky or Adv Rider

Yes, got from Cafe husky. Parker fluid connectors 68HB-6-6 3/8 NPT with 3/8 burb. It beats the price of a new fuel pump R7805.00 from Primrose motorcycles. :imaposer: :imaposer: :imaposer: :imaposer:

And I will never have the problem of braking the connectors again.

:eek7: When I serviced my bike 2weeks ago, I found the standard toolkit plug spanner to be too long, requiring the removel of the tank to remove the sparkplug. Fortunately I decided to rather shorten the plugspanner by 35mm. Thus I manage to replace the sparkplug without removing the tank.

Sorry, didn't take any pics. But it is very easy to do.

1.Remove fuel pump from tank with size 8 socket.
2.Remove the white and red quick connector on the fuel pump with a vice grip by twisting and pulling, at the same time.
3.Place some prestik inside the one line with the filter on. Stops any pieces of metal going down the tube.
4. Drill the two holes out with a 14.7mm drill bit. 15mm deep.
5.Tap the two holes with a 16mm Tap.
6.Clean the two holes and remove the prestik.
7.Add some PTFE tape on the 3/8 connectors and screw in place.
8.Replace the fuel pump.
9.I then used my own 8mm tubing to reconnect the fuel line.

Job done.

NB. Check and make sure you connect the IN and Out lines correctly.
