Fancy a rideout (or a slide-out)?
« on: March 20, 2006, 02:33:34 pm »
Riding season opened!

Just did a sliderideout  :D

Well, it was rather a slide than a ride. But still what a nice day!

My own-made heated vest was obligatory. Brrrrrr.....

Some bits of main roads were tarmac, so could count up some speed. Gravel/ice mix parts were nice too.

A good clean for it or it'll rust to death...

Bit more than 40 kilometres total, a serious achievement

Good to see you out and about again Margus, remember to keep the rubber side down :D
Harry Dunne: According to the map, we've only gone 4 inches.

The spring officially started today, so it was winter ride. Despite the first day of spring, we have a thick layer of snow now tho. But it woun't be long until we get +25 to 30C heat, soon :D

Clicky-Clicky I highly recommend the stuff, you can make cheap and proper heated jacket.

It's even worse - zero traction even with knobbie tyres, softer than shiite and more slippy than bananas on the showerroom's floor :D You need nailed-stickytires here!

A proper slide controlling practice tho  :thumbleft:

Eish that looks cold.  Does the salt on the road do anyting to your bike, or do you have to wash after each ride?

Yep, it's better to wash it after every ride with fresh clean water, or you'll expect some serious rust marks and even electricity failures in the future, coz it's really hard chemistry (it's not regular salt, it's something way more acidic!) they put on the roads here :(

And i thought the winter's over - a pic from my window done a month ago, and the view is still the same, bastiiidddsss, i'm getting restless! ->
