Pack Dog
Due to the warmer temps at the moment we are doing quick 2.5 hour rides of about 90kms.
We are leaving approx 4:30pm, getting back to the cars and a cool drink by 7:00 or so.
The heat dries out the sand and makes it very soft, so along with the high ambient temps, it makes the engines work harder.
This ride could be the start of a good joke, with an Australian, a German and an Englishman.
A few snaps from one of our brief stops :
I drink a bit of fluids at the best of times, but at the moment I empty a 3L camel back on the way out, a few litres more at the petrol station, and 3L again in the camel back on the way home.
I do have some video footage as well, but yet to process it. As a side note, my Contour HD camera filled up with fine sand/dust behinfd the lens cover, but I have sorted that out now.
Cheers,
Mick (Axehead)
