Another movie thats got a cool thumper in is the Lost Boys.
The main character rides one around, he get to lift the hot chick.

Who is not so hot anymore starring as a housewife in a show on TV now.

It was a Honda XL , unknown size.


Lost Boys
A motorcycle gang that are also vampires.

The new guy in town rides an XL 250

I just wanted to comment on that - it really irks me when they dub the sound to something stupid.

You ALWAYS have a GSXR type sound on a highspeed chase.

I've seen a movie with a Duke twin it it, and it had all sounds at different stages. Sometimes it sounded like a twin, sometimes a inline 4 even once did I hear the 'riinnnng-tinnnnng-tinnnng' of a 2stroker ...

you know how many times i almost fall of my chair laughing in movies when the have a computer scene

all computers make bleepy sounds when you press a key  :lol:


Yeah, and they type like mal just to have some weird text scroll down on the screen.
Cursors on screen also make sounds. You know you have a hightech computer in movieland when as the text appear on the screen it sounds like a dotmatrix printer.
And yes, at every password prompt you can type in 'Override' and there it goes.
It is also cool when they can interface anything with anything. You just have to have tried once to connect your PC to your cellphone (with the supplied cable) to know how amazing these guys are !

How about Mission Impossible, a Triumph speed Triple that changes tyres in mid air, road going to knobblies, I want one.

As for Quadrophenia, I am not sure if anyone else other than Ice Cream Man and I know what that is. I had a Vespa like that in England in the early eighties, very cool.

In T2 the young guy rides an old 4 stroke Honda (XL 125 or the likes) which sounds like a KX250.

Hey, you're not the only old guys from My Generation (geddit?) here. Only last night I was reading through a compendium of rock&roll writing with one critic trying to argue the case that the Skins were the true descendants of the Mods. Bullshit, but I'm hijacking.
