How to increase bhp from 33 to 45 and nm up to 55 ??? Easy!
Go to KLR650.com and order the Jardine Pipe + Jet kit + Filter special.
Install pipe and jet kit, but throw away the main jet and fit a 160.
Take the wire screen out of the airbox and make a bunch of extra holes in the airbox with a hole saw, so that sucker is more like a colander. Um, you need to remove the entire subframe and have the airbox in you hand to do this well, and don't let mesh wire into the motor, capish?
On the Dyno my KLR makes the same ponies and nm as a KTM640, and the air/fuel ratio is PERFECT. 33 % gains ! Who woulda thought?
Oh yes, its intolerably loud. WTF. Don't do this is you want people to like you. :lol:
I have a KTM950 too, but this KLR mod makes a great wheelie tool, and it's fun having a budget bike that cooks alongside the pedigreed stuff!
