I bought a new 1200 GS in early 2009 and much fuss was made over the LED indicators which I think are pretty neat. They are compact and very bright and arguably less susceptible to damage.
Of late however I see the new models have reverted to the large (presumably) filament indicators. LED indicators do not even appear as an option in the brochure.
Does anyone have any idea why BMW scrapped the LED indicators on the R1200GS? I still see them on some beemer roadbikes however.
