Here is my Dad on his AJS 600 on the farm with a girlfriend. He was about 22
He loved bikes and had a R50/2 after the AJS. When he got married, he stopped riding.

The second pic was on the sponsored AT that I had, he was VERY impressed with the DCT, you can even see it on his face. :ricky:

ONCE A BIKER, ALWAYS A BIKER! Nice foto  :thumleft:

I found another photo of one of my Dad's bikes - this one dated1951.
My brother (Dustbiter) posted a few pics of our dad earlier in this thread.
This photo had a brief description on the back (loosely translated from German)...
"This photo was taken on the homeward trip from Munich to Schweinfurt overlooking a wonderful town named Eichstaett.
In the foreground our brave little motorcycle, without which we would not have been able to afford this trip."
(Google tells me the distance from Munich to Schweinfurt is 288km.)

My Dad introduced me to riding.

Him and his 3 brothers on the farm, bout 20years ago. They've all since passed, he himself ridden with Alzheimer's

My mother rode too, back then. On a Honda CB100. That was our scrambler.

My dad has this Frankenstein 125 for a short while, then swapped it for a Yammie MR50 in order for us to be able to ride.
Don't dress for the ride,........dress for the fall!

No Shit ! So did mine in 1957 on a 200 Lambretta, PE to Durban. One of those little brown skool koffertjies strapped to the spare wheel.

After his scooter riding days my dad did not continue biking but made a biker out of me, which I could carry to my children. They all ride. My son and I the other day.
