Pack Dog
This report is waaay overdue as we did this ride about a month ago, but hey, that's modern day living for you....just no time for anything else anymore...!!! :'(
I didn't left Bloem as early as I hoped to, but was soon on our farm at Reddersburg where I met up with my boetie and his boney.
We set of in the general direction of Zastron when suddenly this old dilapidated Church came into view. We had a quick stop for some photies and set of again.
We arrived in Zastron at lunch time where we bought a Russian & Chips each and decided that its still early, we'll pack the food in the backpacks and we set off for Lundean's Nek Pass where we can enjoy it with the breathtaking view of the snow-capped Lesotho mountains.
All and all the ride was brilliant except for the wind that blew like a hooker on overtime. This was my first long trip on the 640 and I was surprised how comfortable the ride was considering everyone's somewhat negative feedback with these bikes vibrating too much. ??? The wind also didn't bother me too much. Boetie was on a 690 Enduro which was noticeably easier to handle in the pass with its tight twisties and bad road surfaces, but the 640 was not too far behind and at least I did not have to take along extra petrol....gotta love these little KTM Adventures :laughing4: His arms were also about 2 inches longer having to hold on for dear life battling our way back against the wind.
This was one of the best trips I've done, although next time we'll break it up over a weekend as 720 km gravel roads for one day is just too far to really enjoy the sites & scenery.
