We stayed in Polokwane for 5year or so and while there the company my wife worked for did borehole testing on contracts for the Govt, we used to go with 4x4's to these sites, theirs the most amazing places to ride. Pick a dirt road and go, you will be amazed at the beauty and the variety of roads. The strangest thing is all the JHB people ride to ETVL for fun, and miss the best DS riding places that's on offer.
Even more strange is that we don't have one member here from Limpopo.
There's such beautiful places to ride and it is weekend rides, Vivo, Dendron and Bandelierskop are sand roads, like Botswana. Marken and Tom Burke to Alldays are as remote as you can get and there's many river beds to ride.
Mooketsi and Gravelote to Chuniespoort.......take any dirt road and you will have fun.
It beats me why people don't ride there. ET is for Sportsbike riders not DS bikes >
