N00b Ride - 16 June
« on: June 16, 2007, 02:02:30 pm »
The ride started at 08:30 sharpish with myself, Tulip, Noble Steed, Slide, Mrs Slide, Doringboom and THEdude participating.

We then took the scenic route to Cullinan with THEdude folllowing (sorry no pic you were too close behind me), then Doringboom

with Tulip and Noble Steed on Donkey and then Slide and Mrs Slide finishing our little group

We has a couple of smoke breaks where nobody smoked

and then had a late breakfast or rather a brunch at the Wimpy at Cullinan.

Tulip, Noble Steed and THEdude then left us then to go their seperate ways while the Slides, Doringboom and myself rode back along the railway line track ending up at the Bronkhorstspruit road where we split up.

All in all an enjoyable ride with no heart stopping, cold stomach moments for me and I definitely will be planning some more n00b rides in the future.

The short summary -
Number of Bikes - 5
Number of Wilddogs - 7
Km travelled - 152
Enjoyment - Priceless!

Nice,  :headbang:

Would have liked to have joined you, but I'm riding at De-Wildt tomorrow, so wanted to spend some time at home.

Cullinan is becoming very popular with the DS community as well

I used to be indecisive, but I'm not so sure anymore

Thanks for organising the ride Zerc. Had a great time. Did 320km today total after we left the group, but the rest was on tar...  :-\ not to exciting

Not too much to add to the photo gallery today, bad light... :dontknow: (or bad camera usage...)

The group. Pity the bikes don't run too well on diesel

Another of the non-smoking smoke breaks. Good opportunity to discuss battle scars and cheap fixes. Next time there will be biltong!! (I hope :tongue1:)

Great to meet Doringboom and THEdude, looking forward to more rides in future

Good to see you take smokeless breaks - maybe take some naartjies or oranges with - hydration, but not too many or you have to knyp.

Looks like a nice ride, thanks for posting.

My thanks to Zerc for his initiative in organizing the ride and to all that took part for making it an enjoyable outing! I will certainly consider such invitations again in the future. Herewith my contribution to the photo album:

Thanks Zerc for organising and for the interesting route - at times I thought we were visiting his uncle and aunt on the farm. I swear we crossed some farmyards complete with tame dogs with wild teeth!

Thanks to all who joined - and to the other noobs who want to put their toes in the water of DS riding, join these guys they take it very easy and safely. Thumbs up!
