690 Screen options
« on: October 06, 2011, 06:24:48 am »
Ordered a new "R" model to replace the DR this week
I`m wondering how to solve the screen issue without giving Alfie R14k for a Rallye fairing?
I now Terence Hyde had a Hyde screen on his 690 at the Roof last year, not sure if it was a production model?
So in the mean time I`m fitting a KTM SM screen....are these quite effective?

Andre I have the Hyde screen on my mine, i looked at both, i felt the Hyde offered better prtection, as it seems higher and has a small lip on it.
Have you seen the Lynx fairing from Canadam, very nice about R4K though, but very practical?

I have fitted this KTM screen, it is ok, but I am tall and it does not defelect the wind over my helmet enough, if you are shorter then this screen would probably work well.
This screen is not to pricey compared with the other options available.

Just be very careful since I know not all standard Enduro screens fit on the Enduro "R" model when I did some homework.  :deal:

Hi Edgy.
I have also fitted the ktm screen like KTM11 showed, but found it a bit too low. I then fitted the rally raid adventure kit with a 990 touring screen. This works very well in keeping the wind out of my face. The 690 screen is up for sale , if you are intersted.
