New Bike Guide to Tar and Gravel Adventures in South Africa
« on: October 07, 2011, 09:16:50 am »
Got a mail this morning of Map Studio Launching their new Bike Guide to tar and gravel adventures in South Africa.

Launch takes place at 1730 for 1800 on 27 October at Wild@Heart in Cape Town. Check it out:

http://www.mapstudio.co.za/msftp/bike/book_launch/bike-saWWW.htm

Buy the book on the night for R125.

I would have liked to attend but is in Jhb that day.

Nice of Map Studio to think of bikers...
BoosterPlug, LED Spots, Tool Tubes, RustStop, Kappa Screens, Top boxes, Tank Bags, ATG Gear - whatever works for me.

This is great. I've been wondering about something like this for sometime now. (Being somebody who enjoys a map far more than GPS.)

Pity it's Mapstudio though. Their mapdetail is waaay behind the time and sometimes downright wrong.

OK, I am not going to make that - work calls that weekend.

Question is - can I pre-order a copy at the bargain price of R125? I too like a lekker map - they just make you want to travel!

Also hoping this is an option.

Won't be able to make it myself on the night either - but if there's a WC WD willing to take orders I'll be the first to EFT funds.

I also received an invite, so I will probably go...

Perhaps I can buy it for you and you can sort me out with money and postage.

I know the author of the book, from CT. I am sure if he is contacted by a forum rep he would do a deal on a bulk order. www.gregbeadle.com/

Asked if we could do a pre-order and this is the response....

Unfortunately you are unable to pre-order the book at the launch special price. The 50% is only applicable to guests attending the launch on 27 October.

We will be running a special offer of 25% OFF the book on our website at www.mapstudio.co.za shortly.

Edit... she also mentioned... You're more than welcome to buy as many books at the launch event as you would like :-)

So, I will happily take orders if you non-WC guys want... Just pm me.

Howzit Dogs,

As Firecoast has generously offered to do collections for us up here in Gauteng, I am obliged to see if I can arrange transport for the books. We have a branch in Maitland in CT, and if I can arrange a rep to collect from Firecoast, I will get them up here at no charge. I will have them in Jhb - Selby or Boksburg - we can make arrangements from there.

PM me if you have ordere from Firecoast and I will get the correct numbers sent up.

Have a lekker weekend!!

Oi. I am owing FC too much already...

I don't always drop my bike, but when I do, I prefer to drop her in front of a crowd
