(Note in the first clip: all the carnage of bikes every 100 yards entering Atlantis)  :o

All this footage has been shot with a Drift HD170 Action Camera - mounted to a gyrochopter undercarriage.   :thumleft:

I simply outputted the HD footage for standard definition so that it could be upload quicker... The HD file is just less than a Gig in size (vs 80 Megs for SD file).    ;D

We've done lots of back-to-back tests... And so far the Drift tops any other action camera on the market.

Wayne,my apology ,was not meant to run the product down. I was specificity interested in the type of filming you did from the Gyro ,as i fly as well and want to get myself a helmet cam ,so give us a good example video clip from a a/c as well please  :thumleft:

P.S. The three pilots we had on Sunday have used GoPro, and post the shoot have ordered Drift HD cameras.

I also thought the quality was not that great,but after watching a few of Wayne's vids on youtube the difference is huge.The quality is much better when viewed on youtube...

Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

May be worth pointing the camera a little bit lower on the next run as there is quite a lot of sky visible above the horizon. Basically all the sky  is wasted space for the purposes of this video. Pointing the camera lower will alow you just that little bit of extra time viewing the bike in action before it dissapears at the bottom of the video.

Just my 2c.

Hi SS,
I've used helmet mounted cam sometimes with my gyro. As pilot you have a lot of wasted footage because you are constantly looking around and not focussing long enough on your target. Footage is very jumpy kinda like a Blair Witch movie on steroids.
For this kind of project ideally you should have a passenger camera person, but will also have a lot of jumpy footage due to high vibration environment unless you also go with expensive equipment.
