when you go to these countries the best is to have USD as they will give you a better exchange rate than what the back will give you (even without the extra admin fees), just look for someone scaly neanr the border and bargain with them, stay informed of the current exchange rate.

Not so much in Botswana...and best u change to local at exchange beuro....the rate currently to rands is around 1.05  u can also normally get from visa ATM
They dont somma change currency at shops and garages u need to get local currency to travel the country...at border posts they will either send u to buro de exchange or give u a really kak rate
I been living there for around 13 yrs now
