Must say that this year has learned me a lot regarding riding mud and it seems to be showing.

On the other hand, it could have been that beers at halfway that made me throw caution out of the window!

Since you decided not to buy the PIG, you seem awefully pissed with BM's. Also didn't see any BM owners talking about bike problems today, did see KLR and SUZI riders talking about batteries and other things!!

I'll stick to my original opinion that the KLR and Dak are much the same type of bike, the Dak more refined but heavier, the KLR lighter but more plaasbike. Depending on the depth of your pockets - will not go wrong with either!!

I hear that MacDuff rode one home from CPT for a friend today, and when I asked how it was, the response was "Lekker" Didn't have time to ask for more info, but will when I see him again......

Tomorrow that friend is coming with on the introductory course, so I will watch carefully Although it's also the ability of the rider that makes a bike look good, so I should rather concentrate on my own ride .....

Phew! On the Barksa forum giving each other shite on each other's bikes was part of the fun. Here is seemed to be a dying breed.

All the DS bikes are shite! It's the rider that counts! So count the falls. The more falls you have, the shittier your bike!

Wino rode a dakar too - ask his opinion. He may be a bit less diplomatic than me.

Its difficult to compare another's bike with your own after spend a fortune in upgrades and aftermarket stuff to personalise it for yourself. When I get on my bike it just feels 'right' - like a pair of well used gloves or like when in bed.... (sensored)
