Julle ouens praat van groot lorries.

Al wat ek ken van my Lugmag dae was die Izuzu 10-T tippers wat ons gehad het.  Ok ook die ou Leyland water tenkers en so 'n ander paar kleiner goed soos die 2624 Lang neus MB wat ek BAIE van daai Terrapin opslaan huise ook op daai roete mee aangery het.

Die Izuzus so 'n Fuller Gearbox gehad met so 'n wit knop op die shifter wat met air die Low Range, Mid Range en Over Drive geselekteer het.
Dink daar was so 6 of 7 ratte in elke mode.
Hulle het lekker 110 km/h met 'n vol vrag klip van Grootfontein na Ondangwa gehardloop

Die Izuzus so 'n Fuller Gearbox

Dit kan net die Isuzu SPZ's gewees het. Rateltaai en hulle het gehol lat dit vrek. Besonders goed gewerk as tippers en was baie gewild ook. Sy gearbox het wel n rukkie gevat om aan gewoond te raak.

Ja nou lyk hy amper bekend.

So gepraat van lekker hol.

Ons is in konvooi...seker so 12 tippers agtermekaar vol klip gelaai.
Suiker ons terug Ondangwa toe.  Houtkas op die afdraandes...die bietjie wat daar is.  Dan kom jy in die slipstream van die man voor jou.  Gaan hom net net verby en so donder die troepe voort.

Daar kan nie 'n muis tussen ons 12 inpas nie.

Volgend oomblik kom so 'n swart kar op 'n manier verby.
Na so 'n ruk sien ek die manne begin aftrek... dog ons gaan bene rek..

Wel ons HET bene gerek nadat daai Kolonel ons lekker uitgetrap het omdat ons so onverskillig ry en geen spasies oop laat dat NORMALE mense soos hy die konvooi kan verbygaan nie.

Lekker tye gewees....behalwe as ek daai 2624 moes ry... 79.7 km/h flat taps op en afdraande... Seker so 5 ure van Grootfontein na Ondangwa toe elke keer.

As daai twee tolletjies weerskante van die cab beginne bewe weet jy jy begin nader 85!!!!!!!!! :lol8:

Daai lorries het altyd geklink asof hulle overrev, in idle ook.

Ek het by n boer gewerk wat so n 2624 platbak dubbeldiff gehad het met n tweeas sleepwa. Silo's toe met n volvrag in die Overberg se bult wreld was n saak van uiterste geduld. :eek7:

Really wish I had an answer but was only 3 so have zero recollection of the model.

Here are two more photos of photos lol.

Jip 2628
Turbo non intercool met fuller gearbox en crawler gear wat of die dubbel clutch gebreek het of die ding agter aan die hak saam.

Ons het 1 gehad toe ek jonger was selfde 407 T engine as Nissan CW45/46. Ons het nog 2 van die nissans. Hulle het daardie tyd 68 kratte perskes van Barrydal af na Tulbagh gebring in seisoen.

Ons Benz was n tipper en het clutches gevreet.

Can anyone help with who supplies these rubber wedges in SA- we transport coils and Duferco is now insisting on rubber being used-Duferco sells them but are very expensive. We have googled a bit and everything points to India but its going difficult- tried  a few rubber suppliers ion CT but problematic- we used to use wooden wedged pallets with retread strips but not good enough anymore
Were looking for about 50 :thumleft: thanks
Rubber products and mouldings in Parow dalk maak???

Botterver pla die spietcops julle ook so baie soos hier in SA? (patroll officers ...what are they called there in the USA?)

Ek het ongelukkig net kode 11 en het so bietjie tussen die brandweer werk vir ouens gery vir extra geld vernaam tydens stakings, maar donner weet mens ry nie verby die boetebessies nie.  >:(
