Cummins/Eaton/ZF drivetrain. Behoort OK te wees.

Hulle het hom na ons gebring laasjaar. Selfde drivetrain/ eaton setup as Eagles met die till. Bou kwaliteit is nie prys vir my werd.

Shell Rimula 15w40 R4. Ons was al by BP, havoline en William Penn.

As jy wil ontslae raak van sludge ens probeer Caltex Delo, gebruik dit selfs in my petrol voertuie.

Caltex Delo,

Goeie olie.

Dalk moet ek Delo toe. Goedkoper by ons Ko-Op as die Fuchs.
Ons Ko-Op verkoop Delo in blou 20 lt kanne.

Some advice please.

Currently running a 2014 FH480 Globetrotter V3 with a 2015 Henred tautliner on a national basis. The 480 has 710 000km on the clock and haven't given me any major problems apart from the retarder, but busy sorting that out. We run on a national basis and loads are rarely less than 32 tonnes. Do a fair amount of EC and DBN runs, probably 30%. Minimal local work almost all long distance. Anything from 17000 to 20000km a month.

I need to add to my 1 truck fleet in the near future and I am seriously considering the 440 Globetrotter V4 (face lift model), for better fuel consumption and a more "eenvoudige" work horse, i.e without retarder. Will be a 2nd hand unit.

A few questions from my side:
- Are they so much better on fuel than the 480s? (all things being equal, right driver etc etc)
- Are they to "pap" for 32+ tonne work, EC and DBN?
- Major issues on the 440?
- Excessive brake wear on the horse due to no retarder?
- We run on average around 84 - 88km/h on the road.

I know XMS, Goldfields, Rusgenot etc all run them so that must tell you something? On fridges the 440's are hard to beat.

I am only interested in Volvo, don't like a grocery basket approach. Must be the Globetrotter, don't like the "plat dakkies" in front of a taut.

All comments suggestion, "raad" welcome.

Brake wear os steeds goedkoper as n Sondagaand gebarste waterpyo agv. Retarder se verkoeling sisteem.

88 km/h is hulle happy place.
