Also came short in the mud on Elandsrivier route in 2005, but we had managed to cross the berg from the rocklands side. Will upload a photo as soon as somebody tells me how?
Bakkie in the picture (local people) was stuck and had to be removed the next day in spite of us us pitching in to push.
Everyone in our group came down at least once, even a guy on a light trail bike.
I came down 3 time with my standard 50/50 Metzeler shod 1200 GS.Learnt my lessen, current 1200Gs has Conti's front and back.
