Well after our awesome Lesotho Trip i was asked by S-4-B To take him up Old Mill Pass-

Now who am i to say No- >:D

Been up a couple of times there this and last year --Still Love the Pass for its untouched beauty-- ;)

So while the rest of the XYZ Society --the Ladies that is decided to go on a -Wind down ride on Sunday in Golden gate --I took S-4-B to do the long section from the Old Mill side as it is a little more technical and great fun to ride up -- ::)

Pictures are not many as one only has a few spots where one can stop and take pics as those few who have ridden it will tell you --the rest of the time you are too busyy concentrating on getting over the rocks and staying on the narrow track that seems to be getting worse by the rains and soil erossion that is making it even more fun to ride --

Now one must remember S-4-B has only been on a DS bike for 10 months and been spending a lot of time with me trying to get him doing things easier -for his own sake of course---------------------And let us not forget --he has a THING for Heights he tells me before we get to the pass :deal:

On Route to the Pass--

The Easy stuff before the Turn off --that many people forget and think they have ridden the Pass  :peepwall:

One of the few stopping places ---

S-4-B --Somewhere down there --trying to get his breath back  ::) and we have not even started the good stuff -- :mwink:

The Fun begins --- The track seems to be washed away a bit more than before --

Before --earlier this year -- on one of my solo rides -- this is what it looked like

Mudguard inspection time as it's called nowday's  -I just used to call it --jy het jou gat gesien --- :peepwall:

Luckily --The --Old Man can still pick a bike up off a friend --Luckily S-4-B is a friend -- ::)

The Top of the world ----

The way down --

Well done S-4-B --

After only ten months on a bike  :thumleft: Not many can say they have been able to do that in wet and slippery conditions as well --Next Baboons  ::)

Sorry for not showing more --but as i said --not much place to park and take pics --you will have to experience this one yourself --- or ask a Old Man to escort you up and over the Pass-- :mwink:
