OOOH!!!!! LEM.....
Very close boet.
It's a 1949 hudson commodore sedan.
They came in straight six and V8 models.
Was miss Daisy's car in "driving miss Daisy"
Was apparently a brilliant car in its day.
I absolutely love the lines of this Hudson. Even a bit different for its time when it was new. Like today you get the Merc CLS range, Audi A7, or the Aston Martine Rapide or Porsche Panamera. Sort of four door coupe style.
Yip, I tried to do justice with the photo,s, but in the flesh, even though it is a rusted shell, it is one very impressive car, massive actually, with beautiful lines.
The Hudson Hornet was a different model that came later, '53 or'54 I think, and absolutely trashed the opposition (Ford, Chev etc) at the race track, apparently the Hudson's had a "step down" body and chassis (not entirely sure what that means) which lowered their centre of gravity and gave them far superior handling.
I really love that it's nicely positioned on that "boxed in rock bed"
Looks really cool the way you kept the "rusted" colour of the car & made everything else B&W

Bring It On..
From what I could tell the Farmer made that rock bed just for the car, I'm glad he had the foresight to share it with us and not leave it rusting in the veld where no one can see it.
I used a little app called "colorsplash" on my iPhone to grey out the background, pretty sure if you have any smart phone you will find a similar app you could download.
Or Photoshop.
