So, add to the list. Quote every-time and add your thoughts. Don't erase an option unless it's been discussed. This is a collaborative attempt to imagine the bike that would suite most adventure bikers. It will be a compromise since not all adventure riders want to only do technical riding or otherwise. J-dog did a poll to show how different we think of adventure biking. Well, imagining one bike to do all that would be difficult. I'm thinking that the bike manufactures are still missing the mark. Every time a new bike comes out, it's more criticism than praise. Maybe...somehow a dog with contacts can forward what WE, THE CUSTOMER want in an adventure bike to the relevant persons where these bikes are made . It's frustrating that they keep making bikes but it's not all that...

Here we go: (please remember that you can add criteria but all will be discussed and decided upon together. If you think up some feature but most don't agree it's not going on the list. If you feel that a criterion needs to be changed, make it clear so it can be discussed, if most agree it's on the list)

under 190kg dry weight (like 185kg - Should be able to do sand easily)
between 900 - 1100 cc Parallel or V-Twin. Descent power made low down in rev range
Oil-cooled! (they have to think of some way to include this)
25L fuel tank
Fuel injection..will have to be
normal twin beam swing arm
Proper suspension, front and back
comfortable adjustable seat
Proper alternator
some wind protection
Tubeless tires (19 inch front, 17 back)
Gearing should be right - especially with regards to first gear and should be able to cruise at highway speeds at low enough RPM
Sprockets and chain... (no?)
