it is of his sister 'mango' on the green KLR

If I remember correctly it was on the Kruisrivier road; the dirt road that runs behind Calitzdorp all along the base of the Swartberge towards the Cango caves

You are right about 2006 and the Bash, but I still think it was on the Kruisrivier road (near that dam outside Calitzdorp)

Agree, it was during the 2006 WD Bash in Baviaans. Photo was taken a few kilometres to the west of Grasnek pass. Here is a shot I took at the same venue (MacDuff on the XT and Mango next to the green KLR)
