Husky TE570
« on: November 21, 2011, 01:48:06 pm »
Hi Guys,

Want to upgrade to something more off-road as well as to commute with, I currently ride an Aprilia Pegaso.  :ricky:

Does anyone have experience with this bike?

Any advice or comments would be appreciated.  :thumleft:

Hi DJ

Did you find out what you needed to about that bike?  From what I can tell its an early version of the 610.

If you have (lots of) time browse this thread on AdvRider, hidden in the almost 2000  :o  pages is virtually everything you would need to know about the bike.

Somewhere else on AdvRider is an index thread to the above thread where some of the main topics discussed in that megathread are indexed.

To add to what I said in my PM main things to check (from my own research) are:
1) Cam chain, mainly that the tensioner is still working
2) Stator woodruff key
3) Foot peg bolts
4) Air cleaner cover screw threads (the brass inserts sometimes work loose)

Hi alanB,

Yes I did, also spoke to blazes...he advised me to stay away from that particular model (bike).

Thanks for all your trouble and research.  :thumleft:

I don't really know the 570. Someone I know owns one, and I know he had some issues with the waterpump and electrical issues too, which they've sorted in the end. Damn lekka bike, but apparently not nearly as reliable as the 610.  :-\
