Please pray for Jack Tarr.
Just got a message to say he was involved in an accident outside Cradock and is being airlifted to PE.

Update from Almerie 25th at 14h30

I spoke with Michael Lord from Hofmeyer. The accident happened 90km from Cradock & 20km from Hofmeyer on gravel road. A black man passed by, saw bike in road & asked Michael to phone ambulance. They then went to scene of accident and found Jack on embankment. (if bike went of the road, he wouldn't have been found till morning & it was an exceptional cold night in that area. Only 3-4 cars pass through there a day - all wonderful signs that he was looked after.)They kept him warm and they prayed for him the whole time. Lesley (Michael's wife) started praying in tongues for the first time. Local ambulance came out and stabilised him and took him to Cradock hospital. From there he was transferred to GreenAcres. He has a fractured clavicle, scapula, few broken ribs (front & back), vertebrae, bruised lung & concussion/brain bleeding. He scored 14/15 on reflects test - couldn't speak. He is sedated (medicine induced coma/deep sleep) & on ventilator to help bruised lung as with all those fractures, breathing would have been difficult and infection must b prevented. Dr wants to keep him on ventilator for 2 weeks.
Also seems to think it was a wild animal in road.

Update 22 December 2011

4 weeks later and Thump has gone home.
Thanks for all the prayers  :thumleft:
