Conrad,

The Heydenhau 18 rear fitted by Offroad Cycles in Pretoria was one of the things that worked VERY well on this trip. Here is photo of the tire taken when I stopped at home yesterday.. It did 9,200km and by the looks of it can easily do a 3,000 more. That is given the average travel speed of 110km/hr and mostly gravel/dirt roads.

Perhaps you can post the name and spec of this tire.

Wouter, ek het al my moer suur geval met 'n 800 in die Kalahari en dit is goed om te sien hoe dit gedoen moet word!  :thumleft:

Did you really do the trip without a backup vehicle, "voetspore" se gat, this is the real McCoy.  :ricky:

Stuur asb julle packing lists een of ander tyd, dit lyk of julle bitter min goed saam gedra het.

Ek wil ook graag julle packing list sien. Dis een van die lesse wat ek nog moet leer. Ek vat altyd te veel stront saam :P

Hallo Bessie...wanneer kom die res van die RR? Angola bly tog maar uiters uitdagend. Die stukkie sand vanaf Ninda Angola na die Zambia grens is van die tegnies mees uitdagendste wat jy kry veral op die 950 SE...geen straights soos in die video maar dik sand met kort draaie en dit omtrent 60km as ek reg onthou...gedoen in die middag..sweet..

Graag die vraag stel aan die forum of hulle weet van manne op motorfietse wat die Limulunga -Lukulu roete oos van die Zambezi al gery het? Mag tog uitdagend wees en die adventure riding community vra om my en my vriend Ronald Nel (destyds al twee van ons op HPs) se eerste an alleenlik bekende nightride (onvoorsiene omstandighede) van daardie roete te ewenaar. Hulle mag maar ook in die dag ry :biggrin: Hierdie was 5 na 6 ure se pure Adrenalien wat duimdikte in die sirkulasie gestroom het.
