Wow, thanks for posting and sharing this for I will from now on pay attention to always have my medical kit, toolkit and compressor!
I will also rather walk or 'float' my bike on a pontoon if available - or turn around. Glad you guys are 'fairly' ok and strongs for your buddy with the injuries!

Brilliant ride report and very entertaining
Best thing about a trip like this is in a couple weeks you guys willl get together for a beer and the memories will flow. You wil laugh and realise what a bunch of idiots you were for doing this, but you will laugh some more and enjoy the memories.
Just think how boring a ride it would have been otherwise

Furken hell, next time take me with, my GSA has more tools packed than a bike shop...and I always have compressor, lugs, plus those patches ya can use inside the tire and a small can of glue
