So we been hanging with some dogs, and also KTM riders, and has some choices to make.

We want to get into dirt riding. Nothing major like the dakar, or Amageza. Just canal runs, bit of mountaineering, and being able to join at the bashes, by dirtroad.
Our options:
1) Buy 2 older pegasos or Funduros strip off excess pieces ie pillion pegs, half seat, low front mudguard and replace with motocross type, air filter boxes and more. The main purpose is to have it road legal, to get to the dirt road.
Budget 25k each, and lots of stickers.

2) 2 x DRZ 400, maybe better for our needs - lighter(i think), nippy, BUT pricey.

3) 2x KDX200/250 or similar, and stoetie them. Cost about same as option 1, but build for the task at hand.

Neckbraces
I can not afford 2 x Leatt.
Anybody think the EVS neck guard will be ok.

We trying to plan, and maybe (1% change) that we both get new careers by Feb, then the budget looks better, so send those positive vibes, and we can then do this.

Our setup at the moment.
Daddy - F650 Funduro, Mostly kitted with basics for commuting.
Mommy ZL600, mostly kitted for commuting
Daugther - Twister by sunday, mostly kitted for roaad, excluding helmet.
Son PW80 by tomorrow. No kit yet.

Our future purchases.
2 dirt bikes for mom and dad, with kit.
Neck braces x 3 or 4

Noise clippers x 3
Proper helmets x 6
Weekends away x 2

and the list goes on.

Our main focus now is which bikes to get, and if all turn out well, we can do it mid next year.
