Between Riversdal and Ladismith (Cape)

Named after Maurice Garcia who was civil commissioner of Riversdale in 1868. He made a bridle path along the banks of the Kafferkuils river through the Langeberg mountain range which was later converted into a road by Thomas Bain. The pass was reconstructed in 1963 and is a scenic route to the little karoo.
The toll house at the summit of the pass has been declared a national monument.
