Land Rover can not do Africa?
« on: December 25, 2011, 02:42:10 pm »
We met up with these two in Nairobi, old moer toe Landy, he said from all the repairs the landy was basically new as he replaced about everything while travelling.

They had very little to start with, the landy is an old model and was fucked to start with. They had very little money, saved and just started their trip.

Check out their site, they took some of the best pictures I have ever seen.

Some lovely pictures! Must have been a fantastic trip.

Would rather not comment on their choice of transport.
Then again, I know a guy with one arm who made it through Africa in a VW beach buggy........

Check out redbuggy.com if you please.

The website is a bit confusing to navigate but if I see correctly, 80 000km,  2 years, 1 LR.. priceless.

What an amazing , life changing experience

Met a guy at Ronnie's Sex Shop on the R62 a couple of years ago who was on his way back 'home' after 2 years through in Africa in a Beach Buggy, towing a trailer!
