Viljoen's pass (Elgin - Vyeboom) R321 WC Tar.
« on: July 18, 2007, 07:49:54 pm »
Named after sir Antonie Viljoen, one of the leaders of the political and farming communities in the Elgin district, this is one of the 'four passes'
The summit is 525m and affords a panoramic view of the source of the Riversonderend and the Theewaterskloof dam. There is also a hairpin bend which can be especially busy during the fruit harvesting season when trucks convey their cargo to Elgin.

"..explore the beautiful surroundings via some of the roads less travelled. "
It is far easier to destroy than to create.
