Skaapkoppe wat oopgekap is, besig om in 'n pot te kook, die vrou wat die kookwerk doen wil om die dood nie afgeneem word nie, kan nie 'n woord Afrikaans of Engels praat nie





Toe ek bietjie om my rondkyk wat gaan aan in hierdie gemeenskappe, sien ek hoekom hulle sonder krag is

Oom Johannes the "Kruie" (Medicine)  man. A walking treasure of local Karoo knowledge. What a privilege to have met him and listen to some of his stories and pick his brain ....

Hierdie knaap op Houtbaai se hawe voer die robbe, terwyl hy geld vra as mense fotos neem. Uit beginsel dink ek wat hy doen is verkeerd, en ons het in 'n klein argumentjie betrokke geraak waartydens hy duidelik sy gevoel uitgespreek het. Ek wou hom in die see gooi, maar SWAMBO het gedink dit sal slegte smaak wees. Check die mes in sy hand, waarmee hy die sardiens in stukke sny.
