Honda Helderberg kindly lent me the new Vara for the weekend. My wife says it's the most comfie bike she's ever ridden pillion on. 200km/ph with no buffeting and ultra smooth. As would be expected, gearbox is silky smooth and clutchless upshifting is a breeze. Not my first choice as a D/S bike but the business as a tourer/dirt road bike for 2 up riding. Rode the Vara for about100km and got straight onto Scribbles 1150GSA, Honda smoother, better wind protection and pillion prefers the Honda.
I don't like all the plastic, new colours are terrible and the bike is very ugly!
However, I'll keep the 950 and if I buy a Vara, it'll be for 2 up trips.
