So hoe nou, wat nou?

Vir wie gaan ons in Botswana sien? (Anders as Hoofseun wat reeds ingeskryf het :thumleft:)

Tauster?

This race is on my bucket list, and everything was set for me to do it last year (the reason why I did not plan a big trip last year)

2 months before the start, came down hard, broke my arm in four places and spent 9 months with it in a brace.
The Amageza qualifier was my first time on a bike since then..and although the temptation is there, and in my heart I want to, I did not even bother with a MSA license this year (or racing for that matter)

Obviously, the seed is now planted, and motivation for next year had me dusting my mountain bike off for some base fitness.

Ai mense werk vir nuwe baas, my handbriek is erg opgetrek.

Skimp jy..   :mwink:

My Frau wil nie meer saam nie. Harde werk met die kleintjies.

Hoofseun, het jy ontrek uit die race?

Nou min dae oor.

Eish Okes.

I am so disappointed, had a really big crash about 10 kms into the second day and injured my ribs quite badly. Had to retire from the race. My two best friends at the moment are Myprodol and Cataflam.

As far as the race went, the same two loops as last year were used and organisation was great as always. This made the terrain a little more "open" as you did not have to battle the thorn trees all the way, which made the riding even better and a little faster.

Five of us went up together, all the others finished with 1 x platinum, 1 x gold and 2 x silver classes.

This remains my favourite racing event and I will deifintely be there again next year, if there is a race.

For now I won't be riding for a while and will probably take a break from racing for a bit.

Cheers

Great photees, keep them coming!

Darksider, sorry to hear about your crash.  :-[

That's racing I guess. Is your bike okay? How did you fare on the first day?

Thanks guys, one rib is broken but at least no damage to any organs.

Day 1 riding was great and the bike is OK. Still can't say if the 2T or 4T is better suited for the race. Quite a few 300s in the top spots.

Again, sorry to hear of your misfortune Darksider.  :'(

If I may, how did this race compare to this year's Amageza? It is obviously much faster and longer and does not include the navigational aspect of the Amageza. But can a novice and average rider like myself rock up and have a good time (like the Amageza)?
