Again, sorry to hear of your misfortune Darksider.  :'(

If I may, how did this race compare to this year's Amageza? It is obviously much faster and longer and does not include the navigational aspect of the Amageza. But can a novice and average rider like myself rock up and have a good time (like the Amageza)? Of is hierdie race vir die harde baarde soos jy en Chris?
Heelwat moeiliker as Amageza van 'n uithouvermoe oogpunt, maar glad nie tegnies moeilik nie. Jy gaan nerens vassit nie maar jy moet kan aanhou ry teen 'n redelike pace. Ek hoop die Amageza gaan volgende jaar 'n heelwat taaier event wees.

My en Chris se tye was net onder 4 ure per 250km lap. Gee jou 'n gemiddeld van so 62km/hr. Die time bar is op 5 ure, maw 50km/hr - dit is baie doenbaar vir 'n gemiddelde ryer maar jy moet vir 5 ure kan ry teen 50km/hr, sonder om te rus. My GPS het ook op sy moer gekry so weet nie wat my top spoed was nie maar Chris het 130km/hr gedoen, jy moet gemaklik wees om teen so tipe spoed te kan ry met jou plastic (of minstens 110-120 vir 'n paar kilos) om die vinniger gedeeltes vinnig af te handel.

Jy moet gemaklik in los sand kan corner.

Silwer klas is 250km per dag, as jy nie seker is oor jou fiksheid kan jy altyd hierdie doen.   

Ons het die laaste paar weke by De Wildt 5+ ure rides ingesit (sonder om lank rond te staan of eintlik te rus), dit is goed genoeg - as jy volgende jaar wil doen dan is jy welkom om ons te join vir hierdie rides. Jy sal dan kan sien of jou bike fiksheid en skill level reg is vir die race.

Moerse dankie F - dit klink soos 'n great idee. Ek het net gedink dat as volgende jaar se Amageza langer en harder gaan wees en ek (en Rolling Stone) in elk geval daarvoor sal moet oefen sal dit dalk sin maak om die momentum te behou en twee maande later ook hierdie race 'n go te gee - al is dit more likely om in die silwer klas te wees.  :biggrin:

Darksider hoeveel bikes was daar gewees? Ek sit hierdie een op my 2013 lysie. Het die motivering nodig om te begin oefen na ons koue winter.
Take my advice; I don't use it anyway.

OK thanks, went for my first ride on Saturday on the plastic and I was comfortable. Fitness not great after 6 weeks of doing nothing though

Chris, about 50-60 bikes over all classes. So still feels "small" which is nice.

Some time in September of dalk nog die naweek klink goed. Brakkies is nie die naweek hier nie so ons sal hom nie se nie . ne :peepwall:

MX and Circuit Bikes have broken away from MSA afaik... the rest are bound to follow.
The court found MSA's rules to be in conflict with various laws and the Constitution.

And we are ALL in the DARK as to what is going to happen in 2013 -- >:(
