A few more details have been leaked regarding the 2007 GS Challenge routes.
This year's event, being held in the Northern Cape, will see one of the routes (unspecified whether it is a green, orange or red route at this stage) following an iconic Cedarberg GS route and one which is held in extremely high regard by locals and GS riders alike.
To make it more poignant, event organisers have also discovered that Cape Nature Conservation will start to tar the road almost directly after the GS Challenge has ended - so this is really your last chance to ride this route on the dirt!
Secondly, organisers have also let it slip that, for the first time ever, one of the routes (again unspecified) will entail the use of a raft to make a river crossing.
The river in question is too deep to be forded on a motorcycle and participants will need to load their bikes onto the raft in order to make the crossing and continue their journey for the day.
Once again it looks as though the GS Challenge routes will provide something for everyone...
