DAUGTERS NEW WHEELS CRF230F
For all that saw my previous RR to Sani with my wife as pillion and my daughter on her little XR250,
(RR here https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=86332.0 )
well, she decided to buy herself a new CRF230F.  She bought it in East London and had to come and fetch it here, so it had to be tested and I just had the right route in mind.
Saturday morning she was early up (normally she’s a late sleeper).  The weather did not look too promising with dark and heavy clouds covering the sky.  That did not put my daughter of, she was adamant to do this trip.

This is what she bought.

Our trip on Saturday would be to Stutterheim, from there a back road to Toise river, then to Bacela and back to Henderson and then to Cathcart.  From Cathcart it would be down to Hogsback, Keiskammahoek en back home in King William’s Town.  This is a 320km route.  It would only be the two of us as my wife is still in Paarl.  (Can’t wait to have her back)

Leaving King on route to Stutterheim.

On route to Bacela, if ever the EC bash is to be held at Thomas River, this route should be a must do as an out ride.

We stopped in Cathcart at Wagon Wheels Pies just to be told that they have no pies.  WTF, this is a pie shop with no pies?  Anything else on the menu, no sir.  Hmmm, next stop will be Hogsback.

In Hogsback we had hamburger and chips and something cold, and then it was on the last stretch to Keiskammahoek and then King.

So another fruitful day came to an end.  My daughter was tired but very happy.  She enjoyed the 230 a lot more than her XR250.  She finds the 230 to be lighter and nippier.  I also took the 230 for a spin and I was pleasantly surprised by this little motor.  It makes me think......
