Just dropped off the GS's beak and tank thingy at Pure Art in Waterkant Str in Cape Town. Jeez, Gordon over there is one seriously professional painter/customiser.

He made me dizzy with all his Spies/Hecker colourcharts. He's got every imaginable factory colour of al makes - including Gilera. But I don't think Loncin  ::)

I chose Aprillia "Blanco".

The whole excercise will cost R800. Not bad. :)
Please post pics whem done, would really like to see it.
I think if I actually found My mind, I probably wouldn't know what to do with it,

on this subject.... anybody here does or have a contact for spray work?

my first choice service provider has not-so-graciously informed me that he will no longer be providing me with said service.... (because I had the audacity to ask whether he has the correct colour that I want....!? the fuck...???)

let me know please. thanks

OK - update - below are all the people I spoke to, with the quote/outcome...

Melvin – quoted me 1500.00, but tossed his shit out the cot when I asked him about the colour, so he can keep his shit and his cot.
Johan from Spraytec in Stikland – he simply ignored me, so they clearly have too much work.
Johan from Coatit in Killarney Gardens – quoted me 4350.00 - which is simply too expensive.
Kobus from KE Panelbeaters in Maitland – quoted me 2990.00 - a little more than I'm willing to pay for cosmetics.
Freek from FD Classic Worx – quoted me 3000.00... and then disappeared halfway through our discussions - haven't heard from him since 17 September...?
then we got Johnny, a colleague’s brother, who does spraying from his dad's place – quoted me 1500.00, but I got the impression he was not all that familiar with 3-stage pearlescent coating. So... no.
Gordon Netherton – quoted me 2000.00 - got his name from this forum actually - and I would have used him, had he not been so damn far.
and lastly I stumbled upon Mike from PR Motors in Triangle Farm (the other Stikland) – quoted me 2000.00, his shop is on my way to work, I dropped the panels there this morning, so we will see the outcome shortly....

watch this space.  :sip:

2012 koop n vriend n nuwe 1200 GSA. Hy wou by naaste BMW dealer koop.

Pannas, please confirm WHO did your job for you?
I'm looking at wanting to do the same when I find my 1200, started looking seriously now that the 800 is gone.
