Got me a new scoot for the day
« on: August 02, 2007, 09:38:11 am »
Greetings

Interesting morning, the adrenaline is flowing quite freely.

I took my bike to 'Honda Pinetown' for it's 12K service this morning, hopefully they don't rush me too much. (Cringe)

Anyway, the service manager came to me:
"Need a lift to the office?"
"Yes please, unless you have another bike for me?"
"Actually we do, here are the keys"

I am now cruising around on a CBR600 RR.

Awesome machine, now I know why I don't own one of these beasts, too fast. Comfortable ride and pulls nicely from 5K RMP upwards.

I did not burn it, as I am not used to the bike, but boy, what potential.

Still love my bike, just good to ride another every now and again.

Will be taking lunch today.  :) :)

Chat soon.
Regards

Reg

Just been for lunch

Awesome ride. But alas, not for me.

The good:
- Looks the part.
- Handles well, can throw it into any corner.
- Accelerates like a bat out of hell
- Awesome stoppers.

My bad points:
- I will strive to find the limits of the machine to my own detriment.
- Not a good commuter.
- Too low, cars only see you when you go past them, granted, they appear to be in reverse, but you get my point.
- I could not get used to tucking in at speed.
- Running costs will be heavy. (Tyres etc)

Chat soon.
I will let you know what my service cost me.
Regards

The only thing I really really miss about the FJ1200 is the smooth inline 4 power delivery and the mad rush towards the top of the rev range ...
