nay
don't listen to the neigh-sayers

you forget,  2 large fellows have too  much invested for the ship to sink: Messrs Anglo-American & Barlow-Rand.

remember,  without tax money no government can last (WHO PAID THEIR TAX TO THE NATIONAL PARTY???),  and uncle Trev says more than most are now paying...

None of us enjoy strikes (and quite frankly if I were President - I'd send in helicopter gunships for strikers),  but ultimately this boils down to a rich fat bastard pocketing a few more million,   rather than spreading the wealth around a few more people.   Just think,  THEY know by striking they lose more than they stand to gain (THEY read the papers too,  THEY have intelectuals too),  but if some one is not prepared to make a stand,  how many should cumulatively lose,  and how long should the worker abuse continue???

Don't get me wrong,  the Captains of Industry SHOULD be stinking rich,  BUT the little guy that greases the machine that fuels the fire that makes the machine generate profit for the fat cat - should also earn a decent wage,  and be able to support his famliy.

where's my red SACP T-Shirt????

Long queues is stations around New Harare (Jhb) this morning.
A government spokesman said on the radio last night "Do not panic
and make sure that you have at leat a quarter tank in your car" That should
be good for a day or so.

Can a petrol engine run on Benzine????

No but it will on Benzene.

INMHO,
From memory, the reason is that by definition "SASOL is a Coal mining Company" fuel from coal plant, so the people belong to the mining union? Does not make much sense as PetroSA is a "mine" too but are on strike.
So check the Sasol garages, they will be pumping.
