Amazing deal - Australian Safari deal gets even sweeter. Win a spot on the Dakar

Free bike/quad shipping to 2012 Australasian Safari Rally from Europe & South Africa

For the 2012 Australasian Safari rally the event organisation will offering to any moto or quad competitor from Europe or South Africa free shipping of their bike and gear in a sea container to Perth Australia and return as part of their event entry fee.

The basic deal would be free shipping included within the event entry fee of the competitor’s bike or quad, a couple of Dakar size malle moto boxes of gear and up to 2 spare wheels.



Two sea containers will be loaded at
Le Harve France
Cape Town South Africa
and return to the point of origin after the Safari.

Each competitor will need to get their bike and gear to Le Harve/Cape Town by a set deadline to load up the container.

At this stage pending further confirmation from the shipping agent it is expected that the loading deadline will be late July / early August 2012.




Shortly the Safari organisation will be putting together information on the deal and other services that rider’s from Europe / Souith Africa may be interested in taking up. These services would include

Dakar style Malle Motos service
Mechanic support
Crew / supporter transport during the event
Accommodation during the event

In addition the information pack will include

Sea container loading deadline and schedule
All fees
A fee payment schedule
Contacts for the various agents in Europe – the intent is to have at least 1 agent contact in: South Africa, Italy, Spain, France, UK, Holland, Sweden & Germany.
The intent is to provide a complete list of options and costs so that any rider from Europe or South Africa can easily with little fuss organise to get their bike to the event and have any support required during the event.

In EU should there be a number of riders from any given country coordination will also be facilitated to promote sharing of transport from the home country to Le Harve and back to further reduce costs and simplify logistics.

Note this service is restricted to competitors from Europe and South Africa and will be non-profit; it is being put in place solely to facilitate more competitors from both these regions racing the 2012 Australasian Safari rally.
